GOD’S AMONG US #10
DICAPRIO
This hunky hero has captured
our heart since 1990 and we still wish he was the Wolf on Our Street…

In an interview on
Leonardo’s fame after Titanic, the 39-year-old idol claimed he was the one with
‘the blond hair, and I was jack Dawson, this heroic figure’ but we all know
Leonardo, named after the artistic genius Da Vinci, doesn’t need to be in front
of the camera to be heroic in our eyes. He fought through a
obsessive-compulsive disorder when he was young and felt so strongly about the
environment changes in 2004 that he visited 11 states and gave 20 speeches on
how he believed the Bush Administration had damaged it. Our gorgeous god also
shows he has never ending love to give when he ‘adopted’ a South African baby
girl whom he met while filming Blood Diamonds.
At the age of 10, our
all-time favourite Romeo was advised to change his name to ‘Lenny Williams’ for
a friendlier, more America feel. However, he turned this down and lucky for us
or we’d be calling our future child ‘Len’ for short. DiCaprio talent really
came clear to us back in the early days when he played alongside Johnny Depp as
his mentally handicapped younger brother Arnie. These are one of films that
contribute to our strong belief that Leonardo is completely under recognised.
Good research and some emotive writing. Try and use the techniques in the SM to conjure up a more passionate argument for DiCaprio's greatness. You need a unifying idea and it could be that he is under-recognised (as you mention at the end of the extract) - put that in your strapline and prove it throughout. Your strapline hooked me but then you didn't come back to it, so work on cohesion to improve.
